REVOCATION - A revocation or cancellation is an indefinite suspension period that requires the subject to comply/submit items to lift the revocation or cancellation of the license.

DISQUALIFICATION - A Disqualification disqualifies a person from operating a commercial motor vehicle, or applying for a commercial driver license. A person may still operate a non-commercial motor vehicle while under a disqualification. There is a beginning date and an ending date to the disqualification period and does not require reinstatement items to be submitted to the Department.

SUSPENSION - A suspension period is generally a set suspension time with a beginning date and an ending date.

LOFS - Licensed Operator Front Seat over 21 - Driver with this restriction needs to be accompanied by a licensed driver over 21 in the front seat.

"Cancelled" - The Department may cancel a license or certificate if it determines that the holder; was not entitled to the license or certificate; or failed to give required information in the application for the license or certificate.

CITATION - A Citation will only be issued for an accident. All violations (moving and non-moving) will be issued tickets.

Probated - Placement of an offender under supervision for a specified length of time, as ordered by a court, with court-imposed rules and conditions.

"Cancel Lifted - Complied" - Requirements met, license restored.

"Canceled - Authorization Withdrawn" - License canceled because parents have withdrawn their responsibility for the minor.

DENIED - Denied means a person has been denied the renewal of their driver license or the issuance of a driver license if the person is not currently licensed, until the person submits or complies with a requirement.

"Class O" - Application only. Application process not finished.

"Driving While Intoxicated - Probated" - Driver will be put on probation for a specified amount of time by the court. Once the time of probation is completed and all conditions set by the court are met, the report will read "probated".

"Viol - Cancel Lifted-complied" - State received a clearance letter from another state. Driver had an outstanding violation out of state that has been cleared.

"Viol - Duty status not current" - CDL driver required to keep an up to date logbook.

"Denied" - License will not be renewed because driver has outstanding tickets/fines pending.

"COMM VEH: Y" - Driver given citation while driving a commercial vehicle. This message will appear under the violation description.

ALR - CMV - Administrative License Revocation/Suspension/Disqualification

Texas is no longer passing Endorsement or Restriction information on the driving record.

"Interlock Device" - State has place a device in vehicle. Driver has to blow into this device before device allows driver to start the vehicle.

If a citation was given to a driver involved in an accident, the violation and the accident will appear on the driving record with the same date.

If you get a clear record from TX and later receive a record with violations that should have been reported on the first report, the reason would be because the DPS for the State of Texas does not have a set time for the individual Counties to submit information for driver activity. It is possible for someone to have one or more citations issued, but until the County sends the information to the DPS, the driver's record will not reflect the activity.

In Texas, a STATUS of CLEAR, refers to your driving privileges not being suspended, canceled, disqualified etc., this does not mean there are no violations on the record.

SUSPENDED STATUS: Texas does not pass any Suspension information, just the status. If Suspension information is needed, the driver can call the DPS Suspensions Department at (512) 424-7120 ext. 5690.

'Acci - Accident non-incapacitating evident injury' - There were no serious injuries reports on the accident.
