ExpressNet: Ordering MVR's in "MVR Only" Mode

ExpressNet:
Ordering MVR's in "MVR Only" Mode

Question:
How do you order MVR's in the "MVR Only" mode?

Solution:

1. Setting the ExpressNet Presentation Mode to MVR Only

1.1. Select the System Settings option from the ExpressNet toolbar.

1.2  From the lower toolbar select the User option.  A screen entitled Setting for the (your initials) User will appear.

1.3. Change the presentation mode to: MVR Only.

1.4. Click the Save Changes button.  The screen will refresh and a message stating that your changes have been saved will appear at the top of the User window.

2. Entering New MVR Request Information

2.1. Select the New MVR Requests option. A screen titled Request Information for MVR will display. Proceed to the next step.

Note: The Request Information screen will default to show only the data fields that are required by the selected state.  If you wish to add other information in addition to the required information, click the Show All Fields button for the full list of available input fields.  Remember that the absolutely required fields are in bold face type, while the optional fields are in standard, non-bold type.

2.2. The Requestor ID is already entered.  The Requestor ID defaults to the user initials that you signed on to ExpressNet with.   Change if desired - or leave as is - and proceed to the next step.

2.3. The next field is the Billing Code field.  This field will be preset to the default billing code you have chosen. If you have not previously specified a code the system default will be: 000 - Default.   If you wish to select a different code, click on the dropdown arrow at the right hand end of the Billing Code selection box.  Then, click on the billing code that you wish to use.  Proceed to the next step.

Note: The default Billing Code may be set permanently for each user by accessing the User's profile in System Settings.  Select System Settings, then select Users. Choose the item from the Billing Code dropdown list that you wish to have appear as the default for your MVR requests. Click Save Changes to store this setting.  If you have multiple users, you will need to do this for each user that you wish to have defaulted to the new code.

2.4. The next field is the Comment field.  Fill an any comment or "memo" information that you want to appear on the MVR - or - leave the field blank. A Comment is not required.  Proceed to the next step.

2.5. The next field is the DL State field.  Select the state in which the driver is licensed. (If you select a different state than the one that is defaulted, there will be a brief pause while the system refreshes the screen to load the required field for that state.)  Proceed to the next step.

Note: The DL State field will originally default to the state in which your office is located.  If this is not the state that you order most often, you may change the default setting for the DL State field in the User's profile in System Setting. To do this, select System Settings, then select Users.   Choose the state from the DL State dropdown list that you wish to have appear as the default. Click Save Changes to store this setting.  If you have multiple users, you will need to do this for each user that you wish to have defaulted to the new state.

2.6.  The next field is the DL Number field.   Type in the drivers license number for the driver. Proceed to the next step.

2.7.  The next field may be the Last Name field (if Last Name is required by the selected state). Type the last name, if required, and then proceed to the next step.

2.8.  The next field may be the First Name field (if First Name is required by the selected state).  Type in the driver's first name and then proceed to the next step.

2.9. The next field may be the DOB field (if Date of Birth is required by the selected state). Type in the driver's date of birth and then proceed to the next step.

2.10. If you have chosen the Show All Fields option, other items may also appear.  Fill in those that you wish to submit and proceed to the next section - Saving the Requests.
