Error Message: "AMSEXPW.EXE is Not a Valid Win32 Application"
 

The following error message is displayed while attempting to launch Express for Windows™:

AMSEXPW.EXE is not a valid Win32 Application.

This error message most likely means that the file: AMSEXPW.EXE is corrupted and is not recognized as either a valid 16 bit or 32 bit Windows® application file.

• Shut down and restart the workstation.

• Rename the AMSEXPW.EXE file to AMSEXPW.OLD

• Reinstall Express for Windows.  This is the only way to reload the AMSEXPW.EXE file.

• If the program will then start successfully, delete the AMSEXPW.OLD file.
