The Express for Windows toolbar is missing. |

Click on View.
Click on the item to Show Toolbar. |
| Solution 2: |

If Solution 1 does not work, the toolbar may
have been dragged to an area outside of the Express window. It is possible
to do this when the Express window is set to the single box display rather
than the double box display - i.e. the middle icon in the upper right
corner of the window in Windows 95, between the minimize and the close
icons. If the single box display is chosen, and the window is positioned
such that it does not cover the full screen - the Express toolbar can be
dragged outside the Express window on to the Windows desktop. When Express
is closed, the toolbar position is saved and, when Express is restarted,
the toolbar comes back up in is last position whether that position was
inside or outside the Express window. If that position, is off the current
Windows desktop, the toolbar cannot be located visually. To resolve this, first close Express, then edit the toolbar settings in the AMSEXPW.INI file. They are in the [System] section. Suggested settings are:
As a last resort, it the above does not
work, you may need to reinstall Express. However, you should remove the
AMSEXPW.INI file before reinstalling. If this occurs on a network
workstation installation, just remove the .ini file and rerun the
workstation setup. |
