New Request Groups Do Not Appear in View/Edit Request List

New Request Groups Do Not Appear in View/Edit Request List

Problem:
An Express for Windows user enters new requests. After saving the group, he/she notices that the new request group is not listed in the View / Edit window.

Note: This is most likes caused by having more than 250 request groups ( among all users ) on the system. The more user id's that have requests saved in groups, the fewer each user can keep on file without causing this problem.

Solution 1:
  • Purge unneeded reports and requests and having each user delete his old groups.
  • After reports and requests have been purged, try compacting the database. Select File and Compact Database. It is probably a good idea to back up the database before doing this.
Solution 2:
If the customer is unable to open or delete individual groups, or if the above solution does not work :
  • Delete all the user i.d.'s who have large numbers of groups and then re-add the users.
  • When you delete a user and it asks what you want to do with the user's requests, specify to delete them also.
  • Note: If you try to delete a user and get the message that the user has groups that are in use - try running Repair Database from the File menu. Then try again to delete that user.
