Problem:

The following error message is displayed while attempting to send requests in Express for Windows™:

Error 55 - File Already Open

Solution:
  • Go into the \AMSEXPW\OUTBOUND or \EXPRESSW\OUTBOUND directory and delete any files with the extension .TXT

  • Start the communications again, choosing to Send and Receive or Send Only.
