Error 380 - Invalid Property Value

Error 380 - Invalid Property Value

Problem:

The following error message is displayed while attempting to add new requests in Express for Windows™:

Error 380 - Invalid Property Value

Solution 1:

The Express for Windows Setup program found an older or newer version of the CSTEXT.VBX file in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory and did not replace it during the installation. Or, it is also possible that another application was loaded AFTER Express for Windows and installed a newer or older version of this file. The solution is to get the proper CSTEXT.VBX file back into WINDOWS\SYSTEM.

  • Rename the CSTEXT.VBX file to CSTEXT.OLD.

  • Reinstall Express for Windows

Warning: Replacing this file may disable or create problems for some other application that uses the same file. If so, have contact that company for the latest version of their program.

Solution 2:

There may be multiple copies of the CSTEXT.VBX file on the system.

  • Search the C: drive for any copies of CSTEXT.VBX that are in any place other than the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.

  • Rename those copies.

  • Restart Windows® and try to launch Express for Windows.
