Error During Installation: "DBUpgrade Failed......Error 3029. Not a Valid Account Name or Password"

Error During Installation: "DBUpgrade Failed......Error 3029.
Not a Valid Account Name or Password"

Problem:

The following message is displayed while attempting to install Express for Windows™ V2.30b or later:

DBUpgrade Failed: Error 3029 - Not a valid account name or password.

Solution:

This does not have anything to do with the iiX account number or password.  The error may be occurring due to a problem with Microsoft Access® security.

Check the system for the existence of the file:  SYSTEM.MDA   It may be in the root directory,  i.e. C:\>

The file SYSTEM.MDA may be used by a system administrator to prevent users from modifying Access databases on their systems.  If the file exists, you may be able to get Express to install by renaming the file. However, your system administrator should be consulted before renaming the file.

If the file is renamed to install Express, and then named back after the install, you will most likely get errors trying to use Express. This is because you may be blocked from making any modifications to Express.MDB - such as adding requests, deleting requests, printing, etc.
