Error 11 - Division by 0

Error 11 - Division by 0

Problem:
An Express for Windows™ user is attempting to perform some operation in Express and gets the message:  Error 11 - Division by 0.   This error has been reported while trying to print.

Solution:

There are several possible things to try. Memory errors can have many possible causes. Try these in the order listed.

  • Make sure all Express windows are closed before attempting the operation.

  • Make sure that all groups have been saved and that the View/Edit request window is not open.

  • Close all other Windows® applications that may be open.

  • Close and restart Windows

  • Use the MEM /C | MORE to check what is in memory and see how much conventional memory is available. Check the Largest Executable Program Size. Anything below 525K is borderline for Express.

  • TSRs - Terminate and Stay Resident programs may be running. Check the AUTOEXEC.BAT for loading of these. Also, the WIN.INI may install these in the [Windows] section on the lines Run= or Load=.
