| The error occurs when attempting to start the Express for Browsers program. |

We have seen this error occur for only one
customer, but it occurred on two computers in their office. The problem was
resolved by forcing the installation of Internet Explorer 5. Information: Express for Browsers checks for the existence of Internet Explorer 4 or later. On these systems, IE 4 was already installed. Therefore, the Express for Browsers install did not automatically attempt to install IE5. We forced the system to load Internet Explorer Version 5. The IE5 installation program is located on the Express for Browsers v4.11 CD at: x:\IE5\IE5SETUP.EXE (where x: is the drive letter of the CD drive). Alternatively, the user may opt to download the Internet Explorer application from the Microsoft website or have it installed by their own computer technician. Restart the workstation and make sure all applications are closed before attempting the installation of Internet Explorer. |
