"Uninstaller Setup Failed to Initialize"

Problem:
The following error message is displayed while attempting to install Express for Browsers:

        "Uninstaller Setup Failed to Initialize"

Solution:
This is caused by a problem with the file: UNINST.ISU. This file is created during any installation that used the InstallShield® program to load software. (Express for Browsers and Express for Windows both use InstallShield.) This particular file is used when someone attempts to Uninstall the software.

Rename the file and reinstall Express. The file is located in the directory that you specified when the installation was started.  For example:   If Express for Browsers was loaded on C:, the location of the file would be in:  C:\Program Files\iiX\EfB. If Express for Browsers is loaded (for example) on network drive M:, the default location of the file would be in: M:\iiX\EfB

Please note:  This same file may be found in several places on your hard drive.  That is because any other applications that were installed using the InstallShield program would have created this file in the directory where that application is installed.  Be careful that you only delete or rename the copy of the file that was installed by Express for Browsers! Contact iiX Customer Support if you want help in locating the proper file.
