"The File OLEAUT32.DLL is Out of Date. A Newer
One is Needed to Run the Program."
|
|
Problem: |
The error occurs after Express for Browsers has
been installed. It will most likely happen the first time Express for
Browsers is launched
after installing.
|
|
Solution: |
It is possible that more than one copy of the
OLEAUT32.DLL file exists.
-
Search the local drive for copies of the file
and make note of the location and date on each copy found.
-
Rename any copies that are not located in the
Windows System directory - usually \WINDOWS\SYSTEM.
Reinstall Express for Browsers using the
following steps:
-
Uninstall Express for Browsers - through the
Add/Remove Programs option in Control Panel.
-
Reboot the system - making sure that the users
selects to Shut Down and Restart - not Shut Down and
Login as Another User.
-
Run the Express for Browsers installation
again. ( If this is a network workstations doing a Workstation install -
just doing the Network Workstation install is fine).
-
When finished, do a full shut down and reboot
before attempting to launch Express for Browsers.
