"Stylesheet Files are Missing from Images Directory"
|
|
Problem: |
The following error occurs while attempting to
open Express for Browsers.
-
"Stylesheet
Files are Missing from Images Directory"
-
"Looking
in: <drive>:\iix\efb\images"
|
|
Solution: |
A checklist:
-
Make sure that you can access the \iix\efb\images
directory (or whatever path was shown in the error message), either
through DOS or Windows® Explorer. This is to verify that you can actually
"see" the file.
-
If this is a network, verify that the user has
full rights to the \iix folder (subdirectory) on the
server.
-
If this is a Novell® network, make sure the
files in the \iix folder (subdirectory) were
NOT flagged as shareable. Server files for Express for
Browsers on a Netware® server are not to be flagged.
-
Is the software loaded on a compressed drive?
If so, the EfB directory and all it's subdirectories should be
uncompressed. This requirement is no
longer met with Express for Browsers 4.04 or greater.
-
Check the Properties on the *.CSS
files in the \Images directory. Make sure none of the
Attributes for either Read Only or Hidden has a checkmark. There are 3 of
these files in the images directory..
-
If this is a network installation, do other
users experience the same problem? Try them to make sure.
-
Uninstall Express for Browsers using the
Add/Remove Programs option in Control Panel. Make sure that the local
Expplus.ini file is removed before reinstalling the
program. Reinstall Express for Browsers or re-run the Workstation
setup..
