"Receive Only Error - Status 47"
or

"You cannot add or change a record because a related record is required in table 'Services'."

Problem:
The following error message is displayed while using Express for Browsers:

  wpe11.jpg (5445 bytes)

The log file may also indicate the following error message:
You cannot add or change a record because a related record is required in table 'Services'

This error would occur when trying to communicate with the iiX Data Center using Express for Browsers.  It results from an error in processing a received MISCEDIT.TXT file.   Therefore it would initially occur at the end of the communications in which the bad MISCEDIT file was received.   If the problem is not corrected, it would occur immediately at the beginning of any subsequent communications sessions.

Solution:
This particular error - referencing the table "Services" - indicates that there is something wrong in the information that is being downloaded to activate a new service, or update an existing service.  This could be a new company sponsoring reports or additional reports being sponsored by an existing company.

  • Delete the MISCEDIT.TXT file from the \INBOUND directory of Express for Browsers.  Also, check the \INBOUND\TMP subdirectory for any copies of the same file.
  • Communicate again.
  • If the same error occurs again, try deleting the \INBOUND\TMP and \INBOUND directories from the Express for Browsers subdirectory.
    • If Express for Browsers is loaded as a Standalone application, the usual subdirectory path is: C:\Program Files\iiX\EfB\
    • If Express for Browsers is loaded as a Server application, the usual subdirectory path is: X:\iiX\EfB\    where X: is the drive where Express for Browsers is installed.
  • Recreate the directories in the same location.
  • Communicate again.  If the error does not appear after communicating, the stop here.
  • If the error still occurs, this probably indicates the error is due to a change in the customer company authorization table at iiX.   Contact iiX Customer Support at 800-683-8553, option 7  or,  by E-mail at  iiX Customer Support.
