Disk Space Requirements - Express for Browsers
|
|
Question: |
How much disk space is required to install
Express for Browsers?
|
|
Standalone Installations: |
If the installation done as Standalone:
-
Express for Browsers itself requires 15
megabytes. Expect another 2 or 3 megabytes for database growth. This will
vary according to what volume of reports the customer does and how often
they purge the database.
-
If Internet Explorer 4.0 or later is already
installed, we will not install any additional files for that. However,
if Internet Explorer 4.0 or later is not already installed, an
additional 60 megabytes will be required to install the IE 4.0
|
|
Network Installations: |
If the installation is done as a Server
installation:
-
The installation will put approximately 67
megabytes on the file server. This includes some of the Express program
files and the database, plus the Internet Explorer 5.0 setup program files
(to do subsequent workstation installations of IE 5.0, when needed.)
-
The workstation setup will put approximately
65 megabytes on the local drive, if installation of Internet
Explorer 5.0 is required. If the workstation already has IE
4.0 or later installed, only 5 to 6 megabytes is added to the local
drive for Express for Browsers.
