Error 429: "Active-X Component Can't Create Object"

Error 429: "Active-X Component Can't Create Object"

Problem:
The following error occurs while attempting to start Express for Browsers.:

Error 429
Active-X Component Can't Create Object

This most likely means that one or more of the files that support DCOM (Distributed COM) has been deleted or uninstalled from the workstation. This could have occurred during the installation of other software, during an operating system upgrade, or during the un-install of another software package.

Solution:
Re-run the Express for Browsers SETUP program (standalone or workstation - depending on the type of installation that was originally used).

You should get a message during the installation that DCOM will be installed and that the system will reboot.

Allow the installation program to continue until the installation of Express is complete.
