"ODBC
Microsoft Access 97 driver login failed.
x:\iix\efb\database\plus32.mdb isn't a valid
path"
|
|
Problem: |
This error could occur when trying to launch
Express for Browsers.
|
|
Solution: |
The error results when the Express for Browsers
client is unable to "see" the EfB database at the location indicated. This
location comes from information in the EXPPLUS.INI file located in the subirectory C:\WINDOWS (or whatever directory Windows is installed in).
Situations where this might occur:
-
Database file (Plus32.MDB) or
Database directory ( \DATABASE ) is missing. Make sure
you can find the file through Windows Explorer or DOS. If the directory
or file is missing, you will have to reinstall.
-
The database is located on a Novell® 3.x
network and part of the path may be a Long File Name format. For
instance: F:\Express for Browsers\Database\Plus32.MDB.
Using this example, rename the portion of the path that is using the long
file name. Using Windows® Explorer, rename the Express for Browsers
folder to EfB then rerun the Workstation setup.
-
The network drive or directory name in which
Express for Browsers is installed has changed and the user has not rerun
the Workstation setup. Rerun the Workstation setup.
