Help Sheet for Ordering A-PLUS™ Reports

Selecting the Services:
  • Select the View option from the menu at the top of the Express window. Make sure that either A-PLUS Personal or A-PLUS Commercial (but not both) is checked. 
     
  • If the items MVR, UDI,  or A-PLUS are checked, click on those items to uncheck and deselect them. Please note: Services may also be selected or deselected by using the MVR,  UDI,  A-PLUS Personal, and A-PLUS Commercial buttons on the tool bar. Refer to the Express manual or call iiX Customer Support for instructions.
     
  • When only A-PLUS Personal or A-PLUS Commercial is checked, you are ready to proceed. 
     
  • For A-PLUS Personal Property Request Instructions, proceed to the next step below. For A-PLUS Commercial Request Instructions, skip the next section and proceed instead to the section titled: "Entering Request information for A-PLUS Commercial Property Reports".
Entering Request Information for A-PLUS Personal Property Reports:
  • Select the Request option. Then, select New Request from the drop down box. A window entitled "Policy Information" will open. 

    • The "Policy Information" screen is to be filled in with the name and address information of the primary policyholder.

    • The Reference field must be filled in. Use the person's last name, or a policy number, or anything else - just make sure the field is filled in!

    • The Comment field is optional. Any information entered into this field is also printed as a Comment on the claims report when it is returned.

    • Complete the rest of this screen with information about the policy holder then click OK

  • The "Request Entry" window will open. 

    • Make sure that your A-PLUS company code is selected in the Company field.

    • The Bill Code field should contain the A-PLUS billing code that is associated with the Company code that was selected in the previous step.

    • Complete the DOB (Date of Birth) and SSN (Social Security Number) fields. The Social Security Number is required! A request cannot be processed without it!

    • Fill in the information for Previous Policy # and Secondary Insured - if available. This information is not required, but may be helpful in the search. 

    • Other items of information that may be helpful in the search are: Current Mailing Address, Previous Mailing Address, and any "AKA" (Also Known As) names. If you wish to enter these additional items, click on the More Data button and a new screen containing fields to enter the information will be displayed. When the Additional Information screen is complete, click OK. The system returns to the "Request Entry" window.

  • Click the OK button to save the A-PLUS request group.

    • A Group Description window is displayed. The information that was typed into the Reference field earlier is prefilled as the Group Description. Type a new Group Description or accept the current description. Click the OK button at the bottom of this box to save.

  • The View/Edit request window is displayed. Click the Close button to return to the Express menu screen. It is very important to make sure that all windows in Express are closed before communication through the modem.!!

  • Skip to the step below titled "Sending Requests To and Receiving Reports from the iiX Data Center" for instructions on sending your requests to the iiX Data Center.

 
Entering Request information for A-PLUS Commercial Property Reports:
  • Select the Request option. Then, select New Request from the drop down box. A window entitled "Request Entry" will open.

    • Make sure that the Company and Bill Code fields contain the proper codes to bill to the company who is sponsoring your request. If the correct company code is not displayed, click on the button at the end of each of those field and select the correct company and billing codes from the drop down lists.

    • Fill in the additional items on this screen as completely as possible. The Business Name, Risk Address, City, State, and Zip Code must be entered. Other information such as DBA, Federal ID, and Previous Policy Numbers are not required, buy may be helpful in the claims search.

    • Other items of information that may be helpful in the search are: Business Address, Previous Mailing Address, and information regarding the First (and/or Second) Owner/Partner/Officer. If you wish to enter this additional information, click on the More Data button and a new screen containing fields to enter that information will be displayed. When the Additional Information screen is complete, click OK. The system returns to the "Request Entry" window.

Sending Requests to and Receiving Reports from the iiX Data Center:
  • Once the View/Edit Request window is closed you may proceed to transmit your requests to the iiX Data Center. 
     

    • Click the telephone icon on the tool bar or select the Communications option from the menu bar and then select the Connect option.

    • Click the OK button in the FCRA Warning box.

    • Click the OK button in the Express Communications box. The communications process will begin.
       

  • As requests are transmitted and reports are received, you may see some messages regarding upload and download.
     

  • After the communications session is complete, the modem will hang up.
     

    • Click OK on the message that communications was successful. 

    • Click No on the message to view the log file ( you may view this if you wish, however).

  • You are back at the Express main screen.

    • Please note:  If you experience problems communicating through the modem, contact iiX Customer Support at (800) 683-8553.

Printing the Reports:
  • Select the Reports option from the Express menu bar at the top of the window.
     

  • Select View/Print reports. 
     

    • A Selection Criteria - Reports window may be displayed. 

      • If not, click the Select button and Selection Criteria - Reports should be displayed.

    • Click the Defaults button and then click OK

    • The View/Print Reports window will open and display the unprinted reports.

    • To print all the reports, place the mouse pointer over the first name. Click and hold down the left mouse button while dragging the pointer down to the end of the list. This will hightlight all the names.

    • Click the Print button.

    • Once the reports have printed, select the Cancel button to return to the Express main menu screen.

    • Please note!!! If any of your reports are missing or if you did not receive any of the reports requested - do not re-request them! Call iiX Customer Support at: (800) 683-8553 for assistance.
       

  • To print all the reports:

    • Place the mouse pointer over the first name. 

    • Click and hold down the left mouse button while dragging the pointer down to the end of the list. This will hightlight all the names.

    • Click the Print button.

    • Once the reports have printed, select the Cancel button to return to the Express main menu screen.
